  18. <p>     One would expect a celebrity like Sting to be greeted with a
  19. gushy benvenuto of kisses and Chianti in a small Italian city
  20. like Catanzaro. Not quite. Last week the police chief barred
  21. the rain-forest-preserving rocker from performing at a scheduled
  22. concert there. Reasoning? Rock music induces violence. Meanwhile,
  23. across the Atlantic, rapper L.L. Cool J, tame enough to be featured
  24. on Live with Regis and Kathie Lee, had been nixed for a D.C.
  25. venue. Reasoning? Hip-hop induces violence.
